Film Making / Editing

I studied film for my degree, so I've been involved in one way or another in a number of films over the years. This ranges from full on directing, solo animation projects and most notably, the time I 'produced' a 16mm film which largely involved buying chips for the crew and sneaking off to smoke.

I am in the process of uploading everything I have to youtube, in the meantime, please enjoy what I have so far.
It occurs to me that most of my work involves swearing and / or violence. Those expecting genteel slapstick or romantic farce might want to give this bit a miss.

Man at Work (2009)

This was an animation project for my degree at Anglia Ruskin, I produced it single handedly in my living room whilst working shifts at a pretentious hotel chain. The word 'arduous' doesn't quite qualify the situation, it was worth it though. My biggest influence was the mighty Small Films team of Postgate and Firmin. My long suffering best friend Nick Skews provides the voice over.

Star Wars vs. NWA (2004)

This is a bit of a cheat, as it's an editing project, I extensively re-cut Genndy Tartakovsky's amazing Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon mini-series (better than all of the films it's based on, for what it's worth) into a music video for NWA's Straight Outta Compton. You'll have to take my word that it took a very long time indeed, Aside from just editing, there are a few moments of trickery/original bits of animation in there to make things hang together.
